Paul Del Vecchio

As Chief Executive Officer of Ethos Companies, Paul is responsible for overall strategies and policies as well as supporting leadership across the companies to support integration and collaboration. Paul also serves as President of Ethos Development and has spent decades in development and construction management, financial analysis, and consulting and advisory services for both public and private organizations.

Being civic minded, Paul serves on the Central City Concern real estate advisory board and has previously served on the City of Tacoma’s Design Review Project Advisory Group, the Portland Housing Bureau’s Inclusionary Housing Re-Calibration Workgroup, the board of Oregon Smart Growth, and real estate advisory board committee for Proud Ground community land trust. Additionally, Paul has taught at Portland State University and Lewis and Clark College.

Prior to founding Ethos Development, Paul served as an International Realty Specialist with the U.S. Department of State specializing in acquisition of land for new embassies and consulates. In addition to working for world leaders in the construction field such as AECOM and Skanska USA, Paul previously served as Director of Development for Washington D.C. based Monument Realty.

Paul holds a Professional Engineering license, Principal Brokers Licenses in Oregon and Washington, and a U.S. Green Building Council LEED accredited professional certification. A designer at heart, Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, the latter as a trustee’s fellow. He later obtained an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. During business school, Paul worked in Rwanda with Femmes Africa Solidarité, a non-profit promoting women entrepreneurs in Africa.

When not managing Ethos, Paul spends his time with his wife Lisa, son Andrea and two dogs Luna and Boom. Mountain Biking, Skiing, Sailing, and Trail Running are passions that help shape Paul’s perspective on the importance of smart and sustainable urban growth strategies.
